A break in Newport Beach CA.
Known to be deadly.
Generated by a south swell, where one wave approaches and reflects off the jetty which meets another incoming wave and creates a peak. When conditions are right that peak could reach 30ft high. Oh and it is a shore break, with a strong backwash.
The Wedge usually breaks largest during the summer and fall months.
But who are you kidding, unless you are beyond experienced is surf and swim, you won’t be riding this wave… but you can watch. And that just might be better. Enjoy
